Wednesday March 3, 2010.
Trade Fair Mission
Each year the AIA and CSI combine efforts to create a forum where new and time proven products and services developed by the Construction Industry can be showcased to Owners, Design Professionals, Building Contractors and other interested parties.
The Mission of the Fair is to stimulate interest in products and services presented at the fair and educate attendees about the many potential uses of existing, new and innovative products utilized in the Building Construction Industry.
Sponsorship and the sale of vendor booths of the event provides funds for the AIA and CSI to host many events throughout the year and offer many educational programs for the continuing education of all individuals involved in the Construction Industry.
Attendance at the Fair is very important if the Fair is going to be a success. So, see you at the Fair and enjoy the Show.

Seminar descriptions:
“From Voluntary to Mandatory – New Laws in Sustainable Design and Construction”
USGBC Kentucky, Angela R. Stephens
This Workshop will discuss trends toward sustainable design and construction practices in the construction industry. During the Workshop, the speaker will provide an overview of the requirements contained in the regulations in the 18 states (including a detailed look at Kentucky) which currently provide that public buildings must be designed and constructed in order to be capable of achieving a LEED Silver Rating. Additionally, this Workshop will take a look at the new High Performance Building Standard, ASHRAE 189.1, which was published on January 26, 2010, and discuss the new International Green Construction Code currently being developed. This Workshop will also cover new sustainable design and construction legislative developments in Kentucky such as the Green Schools Caucus.
Integrated Project Delivery – IPD in Action
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) has become a buzzword in the design and construction industry, but the IPD process is far from mainstream. John Gromos, with Turner Construction will present a brief history of the origins of IPD, what IPD really is and what the main themes/components of IPD include. The presentation also covers the Integrated Forms of Agreement (IFOA) that exist in the market place and how they are utilized.
